Although I was an art teacher for 30 years, I have, throughout that time, also been a practising artist. My work has been exhibited extensively throughout the Westcountry, as well as in private collections on 4 continents.

My paintings relate to different aspects of landscape, particularly the close examination of texture, surface qualities and the structural grandeur of both large and small environments.

I was also a keen rock climber for 35 years pioneering hundreds of new climbs both in Britain and overseas and I have been the author, co-author and illustrator of a number of guidebooks to areas in the South West of England.
